-4AN Female to 1/4" Push-to-Connect Straight Vacuum / Boost Fitting
The JBtuned -4AN Female to 1/4" Push-to-Connect Straight Fitting converts a -4AN male connection to a 1/4-inch push-to-connect interface for automotive vacuum and boost-reference plumbing.
This straight configuration is designed for applications where the reference line can continue directly away from the -4AN connection without needing an immediate change in direction.

What This Fitting Is For
Use this fitting when the component or adapter you are connecting to provides a -4AN male connection and you want to transition to the JBtuned 1/4" push-to-connect reference-line system.
The -4AN side uses the standard 37° AN flare connection. The threads draw the mating fittings together, while the matching flare surfaces create the seal.
This is different from an NPT pipe-thread connection. Do not treat the -4AN threads as tapered pipe threads or select this fitting for a 1/8" NPT port simply because the connection sizes may appear similar.
Straight or 90°?
Choose the straight version when there is enough room for the reference line to leave the -4AN connection in the same general direction as the fitting.
If the line needs to turn immediately after the -4AN connection, use the -4AN Female to 1/4" Push-to-Connect 90° Fitting instead.
Works With the JBtuned TiAL -4AN Adapter
This fitting was originally developed to work especially well with the JBtuned TiAL Wastegate / Blow-Off Valve -4AN Adapter.
The JBtuned TiAL adapter provides a -4AN male connection. This fitting connects to that -4AN male outlet and converts it to the 1/4" push-to-connect interface.
The fitting is not limited to TiAL applications. It can be used anywhere a compatible -4AN male connection needs to transition to 1/4" push-to-connect vacuum or boost-reference plumbing.
Vacuum & Boost-Reference Plumbing
Push-to-connect plumbing is commonly used in performance applications for compact vacuum and boost-reference lines associated with components such as blow-off valves, wastegates, boost-control hardware, gauges and other pressure-reference devices.
The correct pressure-source location and routing depend on the component and control strategy being used. Follow the plumbing instructions provided by the component or engine-management manufacturer rather than assuming every device should share the same reference source.
