Volkswagen GTI MK7 6AN PTFE Flex-Fuel Sensor Feed Line Kit
The JBtuned Volkswagen GTI MK7 Flex-Fuel Sensor Feed Line Kit replaces the engine-bay low-pressure fuel-feed plumbing with a 6AN JBtuned 350 Series PTFE fuel-line assembly designed to place a compatible ethanol-content sensor inline before the high-pressure fuel pump.
The factory chassis fuel supply remains in place. JBtuned adapts from the OEM metal fuel-feed line, routes through the ethanol-sensor location and continues to the factory high-pressure fuel pump.
This gives MK7 GTI owners a clean way to add ethanol-content sensing without replacing the complete vehicle fuel system.

The base kit is intentionally separate from the electronics and sensor components so customers can select only the parts needed for their particular flex-fuel or ethanol-monitoring setup.
The ethanol-content sensor, sensor fittings and wiring pigtail are not included with the base fuel-line kit unless selected.
What This Kit Changes
The JBtuned kit replaces the engine-bay portion of the low-pressure fuel feed while retaining the factory fuel supply from the tank.
Fuel enters the engine bay through the original Volkswagen fuel supply, transitions into the JBtuned 6AN PTFE plumbing, passes through the location provided for the ethanol-content sensor and then continues to the high-pressure fuel pump.
This makes the kit similar in scope to an engine-bay feed-line upgrade rather than a complete tank-to-engine fuel-system replacement.
Low-Pressure Feed to the High-Pressure Fuel Pump
The MK7 GTI uses both low-pressure and high-pressure sections in its direct-injection fuel system.
The JBtuned fuel-line kit is installed on the low-pressure supply side feeding the HPFP.
The high-pressure fuel pump then increases fuel pressure for the direct-injection system. The high-pressure hard line between the HPFP and fuel rail is not replaced by this kit.
This kit should therefore not be confused with a high-pressure fuel-pump upgrade or high-pressure injector-rail plumbing kit.
Inline Ethanol-Content Sensor Integration
The JBtuned fuel-line arrangement places a compatible ethanol-content sensor directly in the engine-bay fuel-feed path before the HPFP.
The sensor measures the composition of the fuel passing through the feed system and provides an electrical signal that can be used by compatible monitoring equipment or engine-management hardware.
The sensor itself does not control fueling. How the sensor signal is used depends on the ECU, tuning platform, controller, gauge or other electronics installed on the vehicle.
Modular Flex-Fuel Sensor Options
Unlike kits that require the customer to purchase the sensor, fittings and electronics as one complete package, the JBtuned kit allows the individual sensor components to be selected as needed.
Flex-Fuel Sensor: Add a compatible ethanol-content sensor if you do not already have one.
Flex-Fuel Sensor Fittings: Add the compatible quick-disconnect fittings required to connect the JBtuned fuel lines to the ethanol-content sensor.
Flex-Fuel Sensor Wiring Pigtail: Add the sensor connector and flying leads if your engine-management or monitoring solution requires a wiring connection to the sensor.
This modular approach is useful for customers who already own a sensor, already have the required electronics or are building around a particular tuner or ECU strategy.
350 Series PTFE - Pump Gas / E85 / Compatible Race Fuels
The JBtuned MK7 GTI feed-line kit uses JBtuned 350 Series PTFE fuel hose.
350 Series construction uses a PTFE liner, stainless reinforcement and black nylon outer braid.
350 Series PTFE is appropriate for:
- Conventional pump gasoline
- E85 and ethanol-based fuels
- Compatible race fuels
- Gasoline vehicles that may use ethanol blends later
Choosing PTFE does not mean the vehicle has to run E85.
The PTFE construction provides broader fuel compatibility while retaining the same basic engine-bay feed-line architecture.
Ethanol Sensor, E85 & Flex Fuel Are Different Things
Installing an ethanol-content sensor allows the ethanol percentage of the fuel to be measured.
Installing E85-compatible PTFE fuel plumbing allows the line itself to be used with ethanol-based fuel.
Neither of those by itself guarantees automatic flex-fuel operation.
For a sensor-based flex-fuel strategy, the ethanol-content signal must be provided to compatible engine-management hardware and the ECU must use an appropriate calibration or control strategy for changing ethanol content.
Software, tuning and engine-management requirements vary according to the platform being used and are not included with this fuel-line kit.
Always follow the requirements of the tuner or engine-management system being used on the vehicle.

Retains the Factory HPFP
The JBtuned kit supplies fuel to the existing high-pressure fuel pump and does not itself change the capacity of the HPFP.
An upgraded HPFP may be required by some ethanol tunes, higher-output engine combinations or specific tuning strategies, but that requirement is determined by the complete vehicle setup and calibration rather than by installation of this fuel-line kit alone.
Follow the fuel-system requirements specified by your tuner for the ethanol concentration and engine configuration being used.
Designed to Fit Beneath the Factory Engine Cover
The JBtuned line and sensor layout is designed around the MK7 GTI engine bay and allows the configured plumbing to fit beneath the factory engine cover.
This keeps the ethanol-sensor installation integrated into the engine bay rather than requiring a completely separate external fuel-system layout.
Final clearance should always be verified during installation, particularly on vehicles with aftermarket intake systems, upgraded fuel pumps, engine mounts or other modified engine-bay components.
Vehicle Fitment

This kit is designed around the factory-style MK7 GTI low-pressure fuel supply and HPFP location.
Comparable Volkswagen MQB platforms may use similar fuel-system components, but this product should not be assumed to fit Golf R, Jetta GLI, Audi A3, Audi S3 or other MQB vehicles unless that application has been specifically confirmed by JBtuned.

Flex-Fuel Sensor Wiring Pigtail: Select this option if you need the electrical connector and flying leads for your sensor installation.
Customers who already own compatible sensor hardware can purchase only the JBtuned plumbing components they need.
Installation Notes
- This kit modifies the low-pressure engine-bay fuel feed supplying the high-pressure fuel pump.
- The factory chassis fuel supply remains in service.
- The high-pressure HPFP-to-fuel-rail pipe is not replaced by this kit.
- Safely depressurize the fuel system before disconnecting any fuel plumbing.
- Keep all fuel-system components clean during installation. Direct-injection fuel systems are sensitive to contamination.
- Route the PTFE fuel lines without twists, tight bends or unnecessary load on the fittings.
- Verify clearance beneath the engine cover and around intake, ignition and other engine-bay components.
- Secure the fuel lines and sensor so they cannot contact sharp edges, moving components or excessive heat sources.
- After installation, pressurize the low-pressure fuel system and carefully inspect every connection for leaks before starting or operating the vehicle.
Compatible tuning, ECU configuration or other engine-management hardware is required if the ethanol-content sensor will be used for a sensor-based flex-fuel strategy.
Professional installation and tuning are recommended where applicable.
