The e85Freaks 5/16" Hardline Compression to -6AN Adapter Fitting converts compatible 5/16-inch OD metal hardline to a standard -6AN 37-degree flare connection.
It is designed for universal automotive fuel-system plumbing where an existing 5/16-inch hardline needs to transition to -6AN hose, fittings, or other AN plumbing without requiring a flare to be formed on the original tube.

5/16" Hardline to -6AN Conversion
This adapter provides a direct transition from compatible 5/16-inch OD metal fuel hardline to -6AN plumbing.
The compression-style hardline connection allows an existing straight section of tubing to be adapted without adding a conventional AN flare to the original hardline.
Compression-Style Hardline Connection
The hardline side seals by mechanically compressing around the compatible 5/16-inch tubing rather than sealing at the fitting threads.
For proper installation, the tubing should be clean, round, straight, and free of severe corrosion, deep scratches, dents, or other damage in the area where the fitting will seal.
This fitting is sized according to the outside diameter of the hardline. Measure the tubing before ordering if the hardline size is not already known.
Standard -6AN 37-Degree Flare Connection
The AN side terminates in a standard -6AN 37-degree flare for connection to compatible -6AN hose ends, adapters, and other AN fuel-system components.
The AN connection seals at the flare surface rather than at the threads, so thread sealant should not be applied to the AN flare threads.
Universal Fuel-System Adapter
This is a universal technical fitting intended for applications where the builder has identified a 5/16-inch OD hardline and needs to transition that line to -6AN.
Because factory hardline sizes can vary between vehicles, model years, and different lines on the same vehicle, verify the tubing outside diameter before ordering.

Installation Notes
Measure the hardline by its outside diameter and confirm that it is 5/16 inch before installation.
Cut or prepare the tubing as required so the sealing area is straight, clean, and undamaged. Do not install the fitting over heavily corroded or deformed tubing.
After installation, pressurize the fuel system and carefully inspect the fitting and surrounding plumbing for leaks before operating the vehicle.
