Product Description
Directly connect two compatible fuel-system components with female O-Ring Boss (ORB) ports using the JBtuned Adjustable Stainless Steel ORB-to-ORB Adapter.
Designed to eliminate unnecessary hose assemblies between closely located components, this fitting can directly join fuel rails, fuel pressure regulators, fuel filters, fuel pumps, distribution components, and other compatible ORB-equipped parts.
The stainless-steel construction provides the strength needed to support directly mounted components while offering excellent corrosion resistance for performance fuel systems, including environments where gasoline and ethanol-based fuels such as E85 may be used.

Connect Fuel-System Components Directly
The JBtuned ORB-to-ORB adapter is not limited to one particular fuel rail, regulator, engine, or vehicle.
If two components use compatible female O-ring boss ports, this fitting can provide a direct connection between them without requiring a separate hose assembly in between.
Common applications include:
- Fuel pressure regulator directly to a fuel rail
- Fuel filter directly to a fuel pump or pump assembly
- Fuel filter directly to another ORB-equipped component
- Fuel-system distribution components connected together
- Other compatible female ORB fuel-system ports where a direct connection is appropriate
This makes the adapter useful for both application-specific JBtuned systems and completely custom performance fuel-system layouts.
Eliminate an Additional Fuel Line
Without a direct adapter, joining two nearby components may require:
- An adapter fitting on the first component
- An adapter fitting on the second component
- A separate fuel hose assembly between them
The JBtuned ORB-to-ORB adapter can replace that entire connection with one compact direct-mount fitting.
This reduces unnecessary hose length, additional fittings, and connection points while creating a cleaner and more compact fuel-system layout.
Adjustable for Proper Component Clocking
Directly threading two components together can create an orientation problem: the second component may become tight before its ports, mounting points, adjustment features, or fittings are facing the direction required by the installation.
The JBtuned adapter solves this with an adjustable center locking nut.
The connected component can be rotated into the desired position and then locked securely in place.
This is especially useful when directly mounting a fuel pressure regulator, where the return port, pressure adjustment, vacuum reference, gauge port, or surrounding plumbing must remain accessible after installation.
Why Stainless Steel?
Directly joining two fuel-system components places more responsibility on the adapter than simply connecting a section of flexible hose.
A fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, fuel pump, or other component can place its weight and vibration directly through the fitting and into the neighboring component.
JBtuned uses stainless steel because it provides greater strength for supporting these component-to-component connections than a comparable aluminum fitting.
Stainless steel also provides excellent corrosion resistance for performance fuel systems and is well suited for components exposed to gasoline, ethanol-blended fuels, E85, and other compatible automotive fuels.
Built for Direct-Mounted Components
The strength of the adapter becomes particularly important when the fitting is physically supporting another fuel-system component.
For example, when a fuel pressure regulator is mounted directly to the end of a fuel rail, the adapter must support the regulator's weight while also dealing with engine vibration and movement.
The stainless-steel construction gives the connection a strong mechanical foundation while retaining the compact packaging benefits of a direct-mount layout.
Dual O-Ring Boss Sealing
Each side of the adapter seals against the corresponding female ORB port using an O-ring.
The threads themselves do not create the fuel seal. The O-rings seal against the machined O-ring boss surfaces of the connected components.
Inspect the O-rings and mating sealing surfaces before installation and replace damaged sealing components before pressurizing the fuel system.
ORB Is Not the Same as AN 37° Flare
This fitting connects O-Ring Boss ports. It is not a male AN 37° flare union.
- ORB: Seals with an O-ring against a machined boss
- AN Flare: Seals metal-to-metal at a 37° flare
Some ORB and AN fittings use familiar or similar thread sizes, but matching thread diameter alone does not confirm compatibility.
Do not apply thread sealant to an ORB connection.
AEM 25-302BK Fuel Pressure Regulator Example
One common JBtuned application for this adapter is mounting an AEM 25-302BK Universal Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator directly to a compatible aftermarket fuel rail.
The adapter allows the regulator to sit directly alongside the rail while the adjustable center nut provides the clocking needed to position the regulator correctly.
JBtuned uses this type of direct-mounted regulator arrangement in many of our larger Honda feed-and-return fuel systems because it creates a compact connection while eliminating the need for an additional hose assembly between the rail and regulator.
This type of connection is commonly useful with Honda B-Series and K-Series aftermarket fuel rails, as well as other performance fuel rails and components that use compatible female ORB ports.
Always verify the actual ORB thread size and sealing configuration of both components before selecting the adapter.
Useful for B-Series, K-Series & Custom Fuel Systems
Honda B-Series and K-Series fuel rail-to-regulator connections are only one use for this fitting.
The same direct-mount design can be used anywhere two compatible ORB-equipped fuel-system components need to be joined, including:
- Honda B-Series aftermarket fuel rails
- Honda K-Series aftermarket fuel rails
- Fuel pressure regulators
- Fuel filters
- Fuel pumps and pump assemblies
- Fuel distribution blocks
- Other universal performance fuel-system components
When the layout allows it, a direct ORB-to-ORB connection can eliminate extra hose, adapter fittings, and connection points while creating a cleaner and more compact fuel system.
Not Just for Fuel Rails and Regulators
Although mounting a regulator directly to a fuel rail is one of the most common applications, the JBtuned ORB-to-ORB adapter was designed as a universal fuel-system connection.
The same concept applies anywhere two compatible ORB-equipped components are positioned close enough to be joined directly.
A fuel filter may be mounted directly to a compatible pump or fuel-system component. A regulator may be joined directly to a rail. Distribution components can be connected without an unnecessary section of hose between them.
The goal is the same in every case: create a strong, compact connection while eliminating unnecessary fuel lines and fittings.
Cleaner Fuel-System Packaging
Performance fuel systems can quickly accumulate short hose sections, adapters, unions, and additional fittings simply to connect components that are located only a few inches apart.
Direct-mount ORB connections allow compatible components to become part of a more integrated assembly.
This can reduce visual clutter, simplify packaging, and help create the clean fuel-system layouts found throughout many JBtuned Honda fuel systems.
Select the Correct ORB Size
Select the adapter according to the actual O-ring boss thread specification of both components being connected.
Both sides must use compatible ORB ports for the selected adapter.
Do not select the fitting solely by an AN-equivalent size or by thread diameter. Verify the manufacturer's ORB specification for both components before ordering.
What Is Included?
- JBtuned adjustable stainless-steel ORB-to-ORB adapter assembly
- Sealing O-rings
Installation Notes
Inspect both component sealing surfaces and the O-rings before installation.
Install and orient the connected components using the adjustable center section, then securely lock the assembly into its final position.
Make sure directly mounted components have adequate clearance and are not positioned where surrounding parts can impose unnecessary leverage or impact loads on the assembly.
After installation, pressurize the fuel system and carefully inspect both ORB connections for leaks before starting or operating the engine.
