JBtuned Honda K-Series RBC to Bosch 82mm DBW Throttle Body Adapter Kit
The JBtuned Honda K-Series RBC to Bosch 82mm Drive-By-Wire Throttle Body Adapter Kit allows an RBC intake manifold, or a compatible intake manifold using the RBC throttle-body bolt pattern, to accept the Bosch 82mm electronic drive-by-wire throttle body.
JBtuned designed this adapter system for K-Series applications that need a larger DBW throttle-body solution while retaining an RBC-style intake manifold. The adapter provides a purpose-built mechanical interface between the Honda RBC-style manifold flange and the Bosch 82mm DBW throttle body while maintaining a sealed, serviceable installation.
Bosch 82mm Drive-By-Wire Throttle Body Compatibility
This adapter kit is designed around the Bosch 82mm electronic drive-by-wire throttle body, part number 0280750473.
The Bosch 82mm throttle body is not included with the adapter kit and must be purchased separately.
RBC & RBC-Pattern Intake Manifolds
The adapter is designed for the Honda RBC intake-manifold throttle-body pattern and other compatible intake manifolds using the same mounting pattern.
Because aftermarket and modified intake manifolds can vary, verify that your manifold uses the appropriate RBC-style throttle-body mounting pattern before ordering.

O-Ring Sealed Adapter Design
The JBtuned adapter system uses O-ring sealing at the appropriate mating surfaces to create a clean, serviceable connection between the throttle body, adapter, and intake manifold.
The serviceable sealing design also allows the O-rings to be replaced when necessary without relying solely on conventional flat throttle-body gaskets.
Intake-Manifold Port Matching Required
Installation requires port matching / manifold porting in the IACV passage area of the RBC or compatible intake manifold. This allows the larger throttle-body opening and adapter assembly to transition properly into the intake manifold.
This is not a completely bolt-on installation to an untouched RBC manifold. The required porting should be performed carefully to create a smooth transition between the adapter and intake-manifold inlet.
If you are unfamiliar with intake-manifold porting or port matching, professional installation is recommended.
Standalone ECU & Drive-By-Wire Control Required
The Bosch 82mm throttle body is an electronic drive-by-wire (DBW) throttle body and requires an engine-management system capable of properly controlling and calibrating the Bosch electronic throttle.
At this time, this Bosch throttle body is not supported by Hondata for this application. This adapter kit is therefore intended primarily for K-Series applications using a standalone ECU with configurable drive-by-wire control.
The ECU must be capable of working with the Bosch throttle body, the vehicle's electronic accelerator-pedal input, and the required DBW safety and calibration strategy. Proper wiring, throttle calibration, ECU configuration, and tuning are required.
Do not purchase this adapter kit expecting the Bosch 82mm throttle body to operate as a direct replacement using a Hondata-controlled factory Honda DBW system.
Professional installation and tuning are strongly recommended for any custom standalone-ECU drive-by-wire application.
Designed for Custom Honda K-Series Builds
This kit is intended for K20 and K24 performance applications using an RBC or compatible RBC-pattern intake manifold where the builder wants to incorporate the Bosch 82mm DBW throttle body into a custom intake and engine-management system.
Final compatibility depends on the intake manifold, standalone ECU, wiring, electronic throttle-pedal configuration, intake plumbing, and surrounding engine-bay components.
