Nissan 240SX / Silvia S13/S14/S15 In-Bay PTFE Brake Line Relocation Kit
The JBtuned Nissan 240SX / Silvia S13, S14 and S15 In-Bay Brake Line Relocation Kit replaces the engine-bay brake-line runs with flexible PTFE brake hose assemblies designed to route lower in the chassis and away from crowded or high-heat areas of the engine bay.
This is especially useful on turbocharged S-chassis builds where the turbocharger, exhaust manifold, wastegate, downpipe, brake booster and master-cylinder area can all compete for limited space.
Rather than trying to reshape the original rigid brake lines around a modified engine bay, the JBtuned kit provides pre-assembled PTFE brake lines with stainless-steel fittings, screw-in banjo connections at the master cylinder and additional routing flexibility for a cleaner in-bay installation.
Master-cylinder configuration is critical to fitment. JBtuned has verified this kit on an S14 using the compatible ABS-style master cylinder. The S14 non-ABS master cylinder uses a different port layout and is not compatible with the current JBtuned line configuration without changes to the kit.

What Comes With the Kit

The three line assemblies replace the engine-bay brake plumbing associated with the front-left, front-right and rear brake circuits while allowing the lines to be routed lower and farther away from crowded areas around the engine and exhaust system.
Master-Cylinder Compatibility - Read Before Ordering
The master-cylinder port layout determines whether this kit will fit correctly.
JBtuned developed and verified the current line configuration using an S14 equipped with the compatible ABS-style brake master cylinder.
We have also confirmed that the S14 non-ABS master cylinder is different. Its brake-line ports are arranged differently from the ABS-style master cylinder, and the current JBtuned hose lengths and fitting positions do not correctly match that layout.
If your S14 has the original non-ABS master cylinder, this kit will not fit as currently configured. The master cylinder must be changed to the compatible ABS-style configuration, or the brake-line kit itself would need to be built differently.
This difference is important because a brake-line relocation kit is not simply three interchangeable hoses. Each hose is built to reach a specific master-cylinder port and corresponding brake circuit.
Designed for Turbo S-Chassis Engine Bays
Turbocharged S-chassis engine bays can become extremely tight around the brake booster and master-cylinder area.
Top-mount turbochargers, exhaust manifolds, wastegates and downpipes may place large, high-temperature components close to the original brake-line routing.
Some builds also use different brake boosters, master cylinders or engine configurations to gain additional clearance around the turbo system. Those changes can leave the original rigid brake lines poorly positioned or difficult to reconnect.
The JBtuned relocation kit replaces the engine-bay hardline sections with flexible hose assemblies that provide more freedom to route the brake circuits away from the turbo and exhaust area.
In-Bay Brake Line Tuck / Relocation
This is an in-bay relocation kit. The brake lines remain in the engine-bay / front-subframe area rather than being routed through the vehicle interior.
The lines are designed to leave the master-cylinder area, route downward and travel across the lower portion of the engine bay near the front subframe before connecting to the corresponding brake circuits.
This keeps the lines lower in the chassis and reduces the amount of brake plumbing running through the visually and thermally crowded upper engine bay.
Final routing depends on the chassis, engine, turbo system, master-cylinder configuration and other components installed on the vehicle.
Screw-In Banjo Master-Cylinder Connections
One of the key features of the JBtuned kit is the master-cylinder banjo connection.
Brake and clutch hoses can be difficult to install when a fixed hose end must be perfectly clocked while the opposite end is already attached.
The JBtuned configuration allows the brake hose to be positioned first and the banjo connection to then be secured directly at the master cylinder.
This provides more freedom when positioning the hose and helps simplify routing in a tight S-chassis engine bay.
PTFE Brake Hose Construction
The JBtuned relocation lines use PTFE-core hose with stainless reinforcement and a black protective outer covering.
The hose assemblies use hydraulically crimped stainless-steel fittings, with protective heat shrink applied around the crimp areas.
This construction provides a flexible replacement for the original rigid engine-bay brake-line sections while protecting the braided reinforcement from abrasion and surrounding engine-bay components.
Intentional Routing Flexibility
The JBtuned lines are designed with enough routing flexibility to allow the installer to position them lower in the engine bay rather than forcing them through one exact path.
This is particularly useful on S-chassis vehicles because turbocharger placement, manifolds, wastegates, intercooler piping, engine swaps and brake-system modifications can all change the amount of available space.
The goal is not simply to make the brake lines disappear. The hoses should be routed where they can remain securely supported and as far as practical from exhaust heat, sharp edges and moving components.
Optional Lava Shield Thermal Protection
Turbocharged S-chassis engine bays can expose nearby brake plumbing to considerable radiant heat from the exhaust manifold, turbocharger, wastegate and downpipe.
JBtuned offers optional Lava Shield thermal protection for the brake-line assemblies to provide an additional thermal barrier in applications where the lines must pass near high-temperature components.
Thermal sleeving does not eliminate the need for proper routing. Brake lines should still be positioned as far from major exhaust heat sources as the installation allows.
The additional protection is particularly useful on tightly packaged turbo builds where clearance options are limited.

Known incompatible configuration: S14 with the original non-ABS master-cylinder port arrangement.
S13 and S15 fitment should not be assumed solely from chassis similarity. Verify the master-cylinder port arrangement before ordering.
If the vehicle has an aftermarket master cylinder, Z32 master-cylinder conversion, brake-booster conversion, ABS modification or another non-standard brake configuration, contact JBtuned before ordering.
Why the Master-Cylinder Port Layout Matters
The ABS and non-ABS S14 master cylinders place their brake-line ports differently.
That difference matters with a pre-configured brake-line relocation kit because the individual hose assemblies are built to reach specific master-cylinder ports and specific brake circuits.
A line intended for one port position cannot simply be moved to another port without potentially changing its required length, angle and routing.
This is why JBtuned specifically requires customers to verify the master-cylinder configuration rather than assuming that every S13, S14 or S15 master cylinder is interchangeable with the current kit.
This Is Not a Universal ABS Delete Kit
The JBtuned In-Bay Brake Line Relocation Kit should not be confused with a universal ABS-delete kit.
Its purpose is to replace and relocate the engine-bay brake-line runs while working with a compatible master-cylinder port configuration.
The presence or absence of the vehicle's original ABS system does not by itself determine compatibility.
What matters to this kit is the master cylinder actually installed on the vehicle and the location of its brake-line ports.
We specifically know that the S14 non-ABS master-cylinder layout does not match the current JBtuned kit.
Routing & Mounting
The JBtuned lines are designed to route downward from the master-cylinder area and across the lower engine bay / front subframe area.
The installer is responsible for securely supporting each line along its final routing path.
Depending on the installation, appropriate automotive line clamps or heavy-duty ties can be used to keep the hoses securely positioned.
Mounting clamps and zip ties are not included.
Do not allow the brake hoses to hang unsupported or contact the steering system, suspension components, driveshaft, belts, pulleys, exhaust components or other moving or high-temperature parts.
Turbo & Exhaust Heat Considerations
Routing brake plumbing near a turbocharger or exhaust system requires particular attention to heat management.
The relocation lines should be positioned to maximize distance from the exhaust manifold, turbine housing, wastegate piping and downpipe.
Where additional clearance cannot be created, select the optional thermal protection and consider additional heat shielding appropriate to the vehicle.
Always inspect the final installation with the engine, steering and suspension through their expected range of movement to make sure the brake hoses cannot contact surrounding components.
Installation Notes
- Verify the master-cylinder port layout before beginning installation.
- The current JBtuned kit has been verified on an S14 with the compatible ABS-style brake master cylinder.
- The S14 non-ABS master cylinder has a different port layout and is not compatible with the current kit without changing the brake-line configuration.
- S13 and S15 master-cylinder configurations have not all been physically verified by JBtuned and should be checked before ordering.
- Brake-system work should only be performed by someone familiar with automotive hydraulic brake systems.
- Record the original brake-line routing and circuit locations before disassembly.
- Do not allow dirt, metal debris or other contamination to enter the brake hydraulic system.
- Use the supplied sealing washers with the banjo connections as required.
- Route all brake hoses away from sharp edges, moving components and excessive heat.
- Secure the lines at appropriate intervals so they cannot move, chafe or become caught in surrounding components.
- After installation, thoroughly bleed the complete brake system using the appropriate procedure and compatible brake fluid.
- Carefully inspect every fitting, banjo connection and hose assembly for leakage under brake pressure.
- Verify proper brake-pedal operation before moving the vehicle.
Because this product modifies a safety-critical hydraulic system, professional installation is strongly recommended.
