The JBtuned Flex Fuel Sensor Harness for Hondata S300 V3 / KPro4 provides the wiring needed to connect a compatible Continental ethanol-content sensor directly to supported Hondata engine-management hardware.
Each harness is built specifically for the selected Hondata version so the sensor signal is configured correctly for either S300 V3 or KPro4.
This harness is designed for use with the Genuine Continental 13577429 Flex Fuel / Ethanol Content Sensor.

Choose the Correct Hondata Version
The S300 V3 and KPro4 versions of this harness are electrically different. Select the version that matches the Hondata hardware installed in your vehicle.
Hondata S300 V3
Hondata S300 V3 can read the frequency signal from a compatible ethanol-content sensor directly through Analog Input 0.
Hondata requires a 2.4 kΩ pull-up resistor between the sensor output and Vcc when the sensor is connected directly to S300 V3.
The JBtuned S300 V3 harness has this required resistor built into the harness, eliminating the need for the installer to add the resistor separately.
This version requires S300 V3. It is not intended for earlier S300 hardware versions.
Hondata KPro4
Hondata KPro4 includes a dedicated ethanol-content sensor input and has the required 2.4 kΩ pull-up resistor built into the KPro hardware.
Because the resistor is already present in KPro4, the JBtuned KPro4 harness does not add another pull-up resistor to the circuit.
Hondata currently specifies native flex-fuel operation for KPro4 using a PRB or PRA calibration. Verify the calibration and ECU configuration being used before installation.
This version requires KPro4. It is not intended for earlier KPro hardware versions.
Designed for the Continental 13577429 Sensor
The harness uses the correct sensor-side connection for the Continental 13577429 Flex Fuel / Ethanol Content Sensor used throughout compatible JBtuned flex-fuel systems.
The sensor produces a frequency-based signal representing the ethanol content of the fuel. Compatible Hondata hardware interprets that signal and makes the ethanol-content value available to the ECU's flex-fuel strategy.
The harness provides the electrical connection. The sensor, ECU configuration, and calibration each perform separate functions within the complete flex-fuel system.
Built-In S300 V3 Pull-Up Resistor
One of the main differences between the two harness versions is the pull-up resistor required by the sensor signal circuit.
For S300 V3, Hondata requires a 2.4 kΩ resistor between sensor Vcc and the sensor output signal. JBtuned builds this resistor into the S300 V3 harness so the customer does not need to source, wire, and protect the resistor separately.
For KPro4, Hondata has already incorporated the pull-up resistor into the ethanol input on the KPro board, so the KPro4 harness is built without an additional resistor.
8 Feet of Tefzel Mil-Spec Wire
The harness is built with approximately 8 feet of Tefzel Mil-Spec wire, providing enough length for the sensor to be mounted away from the ECU while allowing the wiring to be routed cleanly through the vehicle.
Tefzel wire is well suited for automotive wiring because of its durable insulation and resistance to the heat, moisture, oils, fuels, and chemicals commonly encountered in vehicle environments.
New Connector, Terminals & Seals
Each harness is assembled with new sensor-side connector components, terminals, and seals rather than reusing cut or salvaged wiring.
This provides a clean connection at the Continental sensor and allows the harness to be incorporated into the vehicle's wiring without relying on an old donor pigtail.
Basic Sensor Wiring
The Continental ethanol-content sensor uses three electrical circuits:
- Vcc / Red: Switched +12V power
- Ground / Black: Sensor / ECU ground
- Output / White: Ethanol-content signal to the compatible Hondata input
For S300 V3, the sensor signal is connected to the appropriate Analog Input 0 circuit. For KPro4, use the Hondata ethanol-content input according to the applicable KManager wiring and configuration instructions.
Always verify the current Hondata wiring documentation for your ECU hardware and calibration before making electrical connections.
No External Ethanol Analyzer Required for Supported S300 V3 / KPro4 Setups
One of the benefits of supported S300 V3 and KPro4 configurations is that the compatible Continental sensor can be read directly by the Hondata hardware.
An external frequency-to-voltage ethanol-content analyzer is not required when the sensor is connected using Hondata's supported direct frequency-input configuration.
This harness is specifically designed around that direct sensor-to-Hondata arrangement.
Not a Universal FlashPro Harness
This product is specifically for Hondata S300 V3 and KPro4.
Hondata FlashPro flex-fuel configurations vary by vehicle and may require an ethanol-content analyzer with a 0-5V output or Hondata CANFlex rather than the direct sensor-frequency connection used by S300 V3 and KPro4.
If your vehicle uses FlashPro, verify the requirements for your exact vehicle and ECU before ordering this harness.
Building a Complete Flex Fuel Sensor Setup?

If you also need the fuel-system connections for the Continental sensor, the -6AN Flex Fuel Sensor Fittings can be added when ordering the harness.
Two fittings are required to provide -6AN connections on both sides of one sensor.
The fittings are also available separately for customers who already have the sensor and harness.
A Wiring Harness Does Not Make the Vehicle Flex Fuel by Itself
This harness allows a compatible ethanol-content sensor to communicate with supported Hondata hardware, but the wiring alone does not create a complete flex-fuel system.
A functioning sensor-based flex-fuel setup also requires:
- A compatible ethanol-content sensor
- Appropriate fuel-system plumbing
- Supported ECU hardware and software
- Correct ECU input configuration
- A properly configured flex-fuel calibration
- Professional tuning appropriate for the vehicle and fuel system
The sensor measures ethanol content, the harness carries the signal, and the ECU calibration determines how that information is used.

Installation Notes
Route the harness away from exhaust components, sharp edges, moving parts, and other sources of heat or abrasion.
Secure the wiring at appropriate intervals and protect any areas where the harness passes through sheet metal or other potentially damaging surfaces.
After installation, confirm that the sensor is receiving power and that the ethanol-content signal is being read correctly by the Hondata software before enabling or tuning flex-fuel compensation.
