D-Series OEM Filter-to-Rail Fuel Line
The JBtuned D-Series OEM Filter-to-Rail Fuel Line is the Level 1 starting point for upgrading the fuel system on compatible EG and EK Honda Civics and Honda Del Sols equipped with a D-Series engine.
This line replaces the engine-bay fuel-feed connection between the OEM firewall-mounted Honda fuel filter and the D-Series fuel rail while retaining the factory chassis fuel plumbing and existing return-side system.
For an older D-Series Honda with an aging original fuel line, an aftermarket fuel rail, or a need for a cleaner AN-style feed connection, Level 1 lets you upgrade only what is needed without replacing the rest of the fuel system.
Level 1 – “I Just Need the Feed Line”
This is Level 1 in the JBtuned D-Series fuel-system lineup: “I just need the feed line.”
Level 1 keeps the existing fuel-system architecture intact.
- Retains the OEM firewall-mounted fuel filter
- Retains the factory chassis fuel lines
- Retains the existing return-side plumbing
- Replaces or upgrades the filter-to-rail fuel-feed line
It is a straightforward way to replace an aging factory-style feed connection or upgrade to a compatible aftermarket fuel rail without turning the project into a complete fuel-system replacement.
Vehicle & Engine Fitment
Primary applications include:
- 1992-1995 Honda Civic EG with D-Series engine
- 1996-2000 Honda Civic EK with D-Series engine
- 1993-1997 Honda Del Sol with D-Series engine
Also compatible with applicable 1994-2001 Acura Integra DC chassis equipped with a D-Series swap.
Designed for compatible Honda D-Series engine combinations including:
- D15
- D16
- SOHC VTEC D-Series combinations
- Non-VTEC D-Series combinations
- Other compatible D-Series engines
Final fitment depends on the chassis and fuel rail being used. Select the correct Vehicle / Chassis and Fuel Rail options when ordering.
A Simple Upgrade for an Existing D-Series Fuel System
Most EG Civic, EK Civic, and Del Sol D-Series applications already have the basic fuel-system architecture this product is designed to work with.
Level 1 does not try to replace that entire system. Instead, it upgrades the engine-bay feed line while allowing the OEM firewall filter, chassis plumbing, return system, and other compatible factory components to remain in service.
This makes it useful for cars that need:
- A replacement for an aging or damaged filter-to-rail fuel line
- A cleaner braided AN-style engine-bay fuel-feed line
- A connection for a compatible aftermarket D-Series fuel rail
- A basic fuel-feed upgrade without replacing the return system
Retains the OEM Honda Firewall Fuel Filter
Level 1 is designed around the factory firewall-mounted Honda fuel filter.
The existing chassis fuel line continues to supply the OEM filter, and the JBtuned fuel line connects the filter outlet to the selected D-Series fuel rail.
Retaining the OEM filter keeps the system familiar and serviceable while avoiding unnecessary replacement of components that may still be appropriate for the build.
OEM or Aftermarket D-Series Fuel Rail
The JBtuned D-Series Level 1 Fuel Line can be configured for the factory Honda D-Series fuel rail or compatible aftermarket D-Series fuel rails.
Select the fuel rail installed on the engine when ordering so the line can be configured with the appropriate rail connection.
If your fuel rail is not listed in the available options, contact JBtuned before ordering.
250 Series Rubber Hose – Pump Gasoline
The D-Series Level 1 Fuel Line uses JBtuned 250 Series rubber-core braided fuel hose.
JBtuned 250 Series hose is intended for conventional pump gasoline.
While occasional exposure to E85 may occur in some applications, the 250 Series hose is not intended for continuous or full-time E85 use.
For a build intended for continuous E85, ethanol-based race fuels, or broader long-term fuel compatibility, consider a complete D-Series system using the appropriate JBtuned 350 Series PTFE hose.
What Comes With the Fuel Line
- Pre-assembled D-Series filter-to-rail fuel-feed line
- Connection components for the OEM Honda firewall fuel filter
- Fuel-rail connection components for the selected configuration
- Required connection hardware for the configured fuel line
Exact connection components vary according to the fuel rail selected when ordering.
Fuel rail and OEM fuel filter are not included.
Want to Replace the Factory Chassis Feed Line Too?
Level 1 normally retains the original chassis feed line running from the fuel tank to the OEM firewall-mounted fuel filter.
On an older Civic or Del Sol, that original chassis line may be rusted, damaged, deteriorated, or simply something you want to replace while the fuel system is being serviced.
For those applications, JBtuned also offers the JBtuned Tank-to-OEM-Filter 6AN Fuel Line .
That line replaces the chassis-side fuel feed while retaining the OEM firewall filter and Level 1 filter-to-rail arrangement.
The existing return-side system remains in place.
Want Feed & Return Plumbing?
Level 1 upgrades only the engine-bay fuel-feed line.
If you want to upgrade both the feed and return sides of the D-Series fuel system, the higher JBtuned D-Series fuel-system levels provide progressively more complete options.
Level 3 – “I Want It Cleaner / Tucked”
If you want to remove the large OEM firewall fuel filter and upgrade the engine-bay feed and return plumbing to a cleaner layout, move to the JBtuned D-Series Level 3 Fuel Line Tuck Kit .
Level 3 retains the factory chassis feed and return hard lines but removes the OEM firewall-mounted filter, replaces it with a compact inline filter, and upgrades the engine-bay fuel plumbing.
Upgrade the Chassis Lines Later
A compatible Level 3 D-Series fuel system can later be extended to the fuel tank using the JBtuned Fuel System Extension Kit .
The Extension Kit replaces the remaining factory chassis feed and return lines together, allowing the existing JBtuned engine-bay fuel system to stay in place.
Level 4 – “I Want to Replace Everything”
If the goal is to replace the complete aging factory fuel plumbing rather than upgrade the system in stages, move directly to the JBtuned D-Series Full Tucked Fuel System .
Level 4 replaces the chassis fuel plumbing from the fuel tank to the engine and back, making it the complete-system option for a more comprehensive D-Series fuel-system upgrade.
Building a Complete Flex-Fuel D-Series System?
For a complete fuel system specifically configured around ethanol-content-sensor integration, consider the JBtuned D-Series Complete Flex-Fuel System .
The Flex-Fuel System is a complete-system branch designed around the additional plumbing and sensor integration required for true flex-fuel operation.
E85-compatible fuel plumbing alone does not make a vehicle flex fuel. True flex-fuel operation also requires an ethanol-content sensor, compatible engine-management electronics, and appropriate tuning.

Which D-Series Fuel System Do I Need?
- Level 1 – “I just need the feed line.” Keep the OEM firewall filter, chassis fuel plumbing, and existing return side while replacing or upgrading the filter-to-rail feed line.
- Level 3 – “I want it cleaner/tucked.” Keep the factory chassis lines, remove the OEM firewall filter, add a compact inline filter, and upgrade the engine-bay feed and return plumbing.
- Level 4 – “I want to replace everything.” Replace the complete factory chassis feed and return plumbing with a full D-Series fuel system.
A dedicated D-Series Level 2 feed-and-return configuration may be added to the lineup in the future. Until then, select the existing system that best matches how much of the original fuel system you want to retain or replace.
Pump Gas, E85 & Flex Fuel
This Level 1 D-Series Fuel Line uses JBtuned 250 Series hose and is intended for conventional pump-gas applications.
If you are planning continuous E85 use or a complete flex-fuel build, fuel compatibility must be considered across the entire fuel system, including hose, filter, seals, fuel pump, regulator, and other fuel-contact components.

Ordering Options Explained
Vehicle / Chassis
Select the EG Civic, EK Civic, Del Sol, or applicable DC Integra chassis receiving the D-Series fuel line.
Fuel Rail
Select the factory or aftermarket D-Series fuel rail installed on the engine.
Different fuel rails require different connection configurations, so selecting the correct rail allows JBtuned to provide the appropriate filter-to-rail setup.
Installation Information
This product replaces the engine-bay fuel-feed connection between the OEM firewall-mounted Honda fuel filter and the D-Series fuel rail.
The existing chassis fuel plumbing and compatible return-side system remain in use.
Inspect the existing fuel filter, chassis fuel lines, fuel rail, regulator, and surrounding components before installation. Older Honda fuel-system components should be replaced if they show corrosion, deterioration, leakage, or other damage.
The fuel line must be securely routed away from exhaust components, sharp edges, moving parts, and areas where excessive heat or abrasion may damage the hose.
After installation, pressurize the fuel system and carefully inspect every connection for leaks before starting or operating the vehicle.
Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with AN fuel plumbing or modified Honda fuel systems.
